Relevant Experience
2024 Co-creation and curatorial mission with fellow collaborator D. Adema on the creation of an overarching program dedicated to the emancipation of sex workers rights in Amsterdam, NL as a response to the governments recent aims of relocating Amsterdam's Red Light District on the outskirts of the city to reduce tourism. My work consists in the curation of an exhibition guided by the community of local sex workers and showcasing their artivists works at the Oude Kerk, situated in De Wallen, Amsterdam. Intermixed with archival material, the exhibition and program attempts to put archival theory in practice, showing how an absence of representation of minority communities within archives can lead to further alienation from society and an unequal power system in politics.
2024 Performer and researcher for Performing the Archive, a live performance program organised by myself and other students at UVA collaborating with the AMIA chapter. The event was organised for the EYE on Art Competition occurring annually at the esteemed Eye Film Museum in Amsterdam, NL.
2024 Research, Organisation and Curation of Appartenenze Festival Volume 3. Working the team Progetto Porto Association to build a strong curatorial project embracing and exploring personal identities and the collective dimension in the Anthropocene era. I am in charge of the research team and scouting artists before the event's opening in Milano this upcoming May.
2023 World Day of Audio-visual Heritage: Programming and conducting an event presenting a selection of restored and preserved 16mm experimental films by Dutch cameraman, Frans Van Barschot discovered at a squatted, independent film studio at UVA, followed by a Q&A with his former wife.
2023 Restoration and preservation assistant at UVA's squatted film studio directed by former film director Bruce Gray.
2023-24 Working as an official member of the The Association of Moving Image Artists (AMIA) along with other collaborators to program and curate events or ongoing projects that will be part of the AMIA chapter of Amsterdam 2023-24.
